I am consistently in love with surprise parties.
The idea of sneaking around behind someone special's back, scheming and planning with other friends, worrying that someone will tell the secret, stressing that the guest of honor already knows.
It's one of the few times in adulthood when you can pretend to be a spy, a deviant, a liar, a socialite and maybe a ninja.
And, with all the insane "surprises" I encounter on a regular day in Pristina, it fits that part of my 30th birthday celebration would include a surprise wine tasting party, thrown by
this girl.
and these guys.
And I will tell you, I was absolutely, one hundred percent shocked.
After recovering from the initial startle and awkward shakes, I had to quickly admit that walking into a room full of people who came together just to celebrate me is a pretty amazing feeling.
{PS Knowing your favs can be such great secret keepers and schemers is both a comfort and a concern. ;)}
Here's some footage.
Take away of the night: Great friends can be found all over the world.
Good thing you looked so cute for your party! So glad you've found such great people!
