Thanks God, it's not Christmas Morning!

I walked out my door this morning to discover this.

A very large pile of lignite.
AKA the coal that is 97% responsible for electricity generation throughout Kosovo.
AKA the lowest quality of coal ever and a releaser of tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
AKA a very cheap way for a developing country which loses power for multiple hours of the day to keep its citizens warm.

There are somethings in life you just never think you'll find on your doorstep.
Lignite used to be one of them.

  1. Love the expression on your face. Yuk! (to the coal, that is!)
