We're on Top of the World.

Or at least the top of Pristina.

69FEB209-1

For Day 23, Mr. Umbrella took me on a date to the Sirius Hotel's rooftop bar.
Go at sunset; it's the best view of the city.

Indian Food, Pristina.

So, if you've ever talked to me or read my blog {even just once}, there is a really good chance that you've heard about my true love.

Indian food.

And the Indian restaurant in Pristina is definitely not Little India, but it is pretty amazing and feeds my need and just 7 euro gets me my beloved butter chicken, rice, and lots of naan.

So, for something spectacular #20, we date-nighted and stuffed our faces with our favorites and licked our plates clean.

For those of you in Pristina or ready to travel here, check out the Indian restaurant above City Hyper Market. {Sorry...no website or number, so email me if you can't find it!}

Half off Wine in Kalamazoo? Yes Please!

Snapbucket

This fancy restaurant located on the Kalamazoo Mall is de-to-the-licious and adorable!

Family date night started with a bottle of Writer's Block Roussanne. I mean, with Shakespeare's pic on the label, it was a must for this family full of lit geeks!

And guess what?! Monday = half off bottles o' wine night! Love that dealio!

Order the Sauteed Bay Scallops which come nested in lemon-parsley risotto and drizzled in rich brown butter. It's on the appie menu but pair them with a salad and it's like a really great wedding reception happening in your mouth.

And although I enjoyed the company I was with, for the love birds in all of us, the cozy ambiance of Rustica creates a perfect place for a cutie-patootie date spot in Kzoo.

Roller Coasters and Fried Perogies.

Amusement Park Date.

It might just be on the "top 10 dates of all time" list.
{Especially if you're over the age of 14!}

Between the stress of moving to a new country and the sadness associated with saying goodbye, Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pennsylvania was the perfect escape from all that is my current every day life.

Between Mr. Umbrella's free tix hook up, fried food, roller coasters, being scared silly, the water slides, various trips down memory lane {Mr. Umbrella worked here for a summer}, twirly rides, the ferris wheel, and my date...

...I kinda wanted to stay forever.

Balls and Beer? Yes Please!

Remember when I said that I see dating as an opportunity? Well, dating Mr. Umbrella means I have the opportunity to attend lots of baseball games. He's a baseball fanatic which works well because I love the outdoors, and I love beer.

After picking me up from the Allentown, Pennsylvania Airport, we headed to Coca-Cola Park to watch the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs play the Indianapolis Indians.

6 bucks gets you a lawn seat which basically means a seat on a grass covered hill or a seat in the open air bar. Both are excellent options.

Snapbucket

9 bucks gets you a 22oz premium draft beer - not bad for a ballpark!

Snapbucket

4 bucks gets you a fresh, made-to-order, grilled-in-front-of-your-eyes, chicken gyro.
D-to-the-licious!

But the best little hidden gem of this AAA park wasn't the Landshark lager, affordability, or food. It was the fact that the park looks out onto a view of the Poconos Mountains. I mean they aren't the Rockies, but they still make for a spectacular background at a baseball park.

When It Rains, It Pours.

Yup. Pour it did.

Snapbucket

Hard enough to call a rain delay.

Snapbucket

Intense enough to completely soak us as we ran to the car.

And yes, in an attempt to dry off, we found ourselves in a Walmart bathroom wearing swimsuits and soggy sandals. Not the nicest end to date night. ;)
